Family - one woman’s curse is another woman’s god-send.
Peace of mind - something we are ALL ENTITLED to yet people seem to want to interfere with this critical human component.
The divine God given right to choose to make informed and decisive decesions - yet others want to challenge you and disect YOUR choices.
When you’re part of a family who is FOREVER entangled in Melee (pronounced MAY-lay), wahala and seh-seh, you’re bound to have never ending headaches.
Here’s some Guyanese/West Indian sayings I’ve learn to live by when dealing with family:
* Better yuh mine ol’ clothes dan people business
* What sweet in goat mout’ sour in e’ backside
* Doh Trouble Trouble til Trouble Trouble yuh
Calgon, take me away…

While i agree with all of that and truly wish that sometimes i could just divorce mine (minus one cousin)…what do you do when the person aggravating your soul is your own mama? huh? then what? when she does not stand up for you in front of other family members but will join in as they trash you? I mean, hell, some of what they might be saying might kinda sorta be true with their lil twist added to it, but as a mother, you are supposed to defend me to the end in public!!!
hell look at the mother’s of killers, they will stand up on the news and say nope, not my baby, but they know they damn well saw the signs when little richard was killing all of the house pets and those of their neighbors…come on!
