blk folk in love or lust

Had a brief yet interesting conversation with BT1a.k.a Distant Lover ( lol…I know he’s gon kill me for this) yesterday afternoon. According to him, I’m “insensitive to other people’s feelings (meaning HIS) and I’m selfish” and that had me thinking.

It’s not like I haven’t heard this before from a few men, but why exactly should I be willing to change my “insensitive and selfish” ways, for individuals who have yet to prove, dare I say, worthy.   Who does that?

Before I get that shit load of irritable comments, when I say “worthy” I mean, I need to have a certain level of trust in a person before I can completely let that shield down and be 100% at ease.

Self preservation is what and all I know and to divert from that is not something I take lightly - at all. It just takes time, can I have a minute? Can a girl feel you out a little more?  Let’s face it, any sign of weakness and people look to exploit that; so yes, I’m a “hard ass” cause I HAVE to be.

The night before, I was talking to YB2 a.k.a. BankBoy, and he’s sitting there talking about some one night-er and explaining why she wasn’t “wifey” material, and can I just tell you I was totally confused. I mean I’ve heard the logic (if that’s what you want to call it) about if a female gives it up on the first night, then she’s loose and more than likely she’s not GF material, yada, yada, yada. BUT, I still piss on that theory because guys are so quick to say they want a freak, yet they find one, she allows you to go IN on the first night and now she’snot worthy?  I know, all females who’re quick to throw down aren’t all GF material but that theory never makes sense to me for some reason.  As it takes me a WHILE for that whole going IN process, I never really trip over this personally, just always wondered.

Everyone has something, I guess.

some days…

Some days you’re the Dog other days you’re the hydrant.

Today is definitely one of those hydrant days.  Had a night from HELL (dealing with “men”) and really can’t be bothered with anything and/or anyone today.

Being at work, now THAT is a freaking chore.  I’m tired of these fools asking me idiotic questions. I work with people who have HIGH level diplomas from some of the BEST schools in NY, yet these nimrods can’t function unless they’re complicating my life with fuckery! These are some of the most cantankerous individuals ever put on this earth and they seem to want to suck me into their little cult. I’ll admit, not all of them are insidious serpents (to may face at least) but they all have that slithering quality.

I’m tired of these  self-entitled, manipulative, bi-polar lunatic clients that I have to come in contact with throughout my day. I mean really, these people are some of the LAZYest complainers you could ever meet, they get a free service and continue to abuse it and those who provide it and yet they want people to feel sorry for them. NOT ME.

Damn, this is where I work (for now at least).

Much too much chatter on this girl…

She don\'t look 15 to me!

Every household has a their own set of rules on child rearing but fundamentally all teens at some point or another, want to be treated in a more adult manner.  Teens get into mischief, the have boyfriends/girlfriends and some even have both. Bottom line, they seek to push the envelop and limits on what they can and can not do. In today’s hyper-sexual world everything is always under a microscope and picked apart, even the most innocent situations with the best intentions.

This entire Miley Cyrus debacle is one of them.  :-) (more…)

  • Stay calm and in control of your words, body language and emotions.
  • Don’t get into an argument with the police.
  • Never bad-mouth a police officer.
  • Remember, anything you say or do can be used against you.
  • Keep your hands where the police can see them.
  • Don’t run. Don’t touch any police officer.
  • Don’t resist even if you believe you are innocent.
  • Don’t complain at the scene or tell the police they’re wrong or that you’re going to file a complaint.
  • Do not make any statements regarding the incident.
  • Ask for a lawyer immediately if you are arrested.
  • Remember officers’ badge and patrol car numbers.
  • Write down everything you remember ASAP.
  • Try to find witnesses and their names and phone numbers.
  • If you are injured, take photos of the injuries as soon as possible, but make sure you get medical attention first. :-) (more…)

For all those who doubted my J train stories…

In today’s New York Post Crime Blotter here’s another one:

  • A teen has been arrested for pummeling a strap-hanger on a subway train in Brownsville, authorities said yesterday.  Christopher Joseph, 18, was smoking aboard a J train heading toward the Alabama Avenue Station at 9:20 last Thursday.  Bothered by the smoke, the victim,33, moved to another seat.  Joseph asked the victim why he moved and, when the victim did not respond, Joseph repeatedly struck him in the face and head.  After the train pulled into the station, the victim notified police and Joseph was arrested on charges of assault, menacing and harassment.

I told you guys that taking this train is like taking your life into your hands.  These kids are freaking savages!

We don’t have a clue sometimes!

Some of US have been waiting for the day when a Black person, male or female, would be a viable candidate  for the presidential seat; now we have it.

Why then  must we as BP demand more than what is necessary and politically possible?

I’m referring to the criticism in which Barack was besegeud with from the black community stating that they expected more of a stern commentary from him. Why? Yes, he’s balck and disturbed by the heinous crime and verdict but this man is running for PRESIDENT! Let’s not forget that fact. How can we have such an unrealistic expectation and then expect him to fend off racial attacks from Clinton and McCain.

We love to cry racism but look at the position we’ve now put him in. Seriously, this man needs no dissension amongst those that seek to elevate him.

“Well, look, obviously there was a tragedy in New York. I said at the time, without benefit of all the facts before me, that it looked like a possible case of excessive force. The judge has made his ruling, and we’re a nation of laws, so we respect the verdict that came down,” he said in response to a question at a gas station in Indianapolis, where he was holding a news conference. “The most important thing for people who are concerned about that shooting is to figure out how do we come together and assure those kinds of tragedies don’t happen again,” he continued. … “Resorting to violence to express displeasure over a verdict is something that is completely unacceptable and counterproductive.”

He has the scrutiny of the media on the Pennsylvania debacle, the lingering thorn in the side Jeremiah Wright episode and all the racial garbage coming from both Clinton and McCain and now folks want to further complicate matters. Brilliant. Guess you fools have forgotten that he still has a long way to go to win over alot more white voters. How about we get him into office and then go from there.
