Talk about time flying by.  I’ve just realized that it’s been about a month since i’ve last written a blog. By that alone, you can see I’m still new to this entire bloging thing.Sheesh.

Between me being in an ongoing court battle with my sheister,money grubbing looser of a landlord, me crashing my home cpu, me dealing with looser men and looser family members AND work AND watching my growing collection of African Movies…. A girl has been BuSy!

I tell you, stress has been my playmate for a hot minute.  It used to be that I would self-medicate with food. Then my ass balloned to a size 16 and was still going. Needlesstosay, I put an end to that and am down to a 12 hoping to get back to a size 10 by years end. Wish me luck!

Now instead of food I have my African movie collection! Damn those movies are the shit! I used to watch them years ago when they only came on VHS, but after a while we couldn’t find any new ones and then the guy we used to buy from just up and moved locations.  It’s amazing to me how tremendouly popular these movies have become in the last few years. Don’t get me wrong, I am SUPER STOKED for NOLLYWOOD. It just seems like out of no where the african  guys have opened stalls in all 5 boroughs of NYC exclusively for the films! No longer just in Harlem and the hard to find places in Brooklyn. Whatever the reason, I’m siked as hell.  If you’ve never heard of Van Vicker (fine as HELL!!), my ultimate favorite female lead GENEVIEVE NNAJI then you really ain’t up on your shit.  Just in case you need a few titles to go get: Blood Sisters (like most nollywood films it;s a two part movie), Beyonce, Silent Bunner (can’t remember the lead actresses name but this girl ain’t no damn joke!!), Mummy’s Daughter, From Darkness to Sorrow…There’s so many!

Back to my second home,court. I’ve never been in a court dispute, battle, hell before this I’ve never been in a court room. Now, I’ve been to court at least three times a month since the beginning of the year. It’s amazing to see just how fucking corrupt these Landlords & Attorneys can really be. And to top it all off, the shit they are actually allowed to get away with doing. In NY housing court its VERY apparent as soon as you get off the elevator, just who really is in charge. Let’s just day if you don’t have a yamakuh on or a long skirt and shoes you just got from Century 21, you must definitely be the defendant!!! As my case is still pending, i’ll refrain from getting intothe details - but lord help these people when this case come to a close. I’m going to have to create an entirely separate blog just discussing the Do’s and Don’t of NY Housing Court. Damn thieves!
